Session Description:
Participants will perform hands-on experiments and learn strategies to implement science into all aspects of their curriculum. Implementing STEM-focused activities enhances receptive and expressive language skills and develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills of future Scientists, Technologists, Engineers, and Mathematicians.

LJ’s Bio:
LJ Henderson has almost 30 years of experience in Education and Speech Therapy. La Sonja is a proud business owner, advocate, author, and speaker. She is a sought-after speaker and highly revered academic consultant in the educational system. La Sonja is the founder of Little STEM Academy, where she fosters high-quality learning processes building exposure that makes kids more innovative. She is also the creator of Little Stem Labkits, Lab in a box STEM lessons and experiments for children. She was recognized as a Living Legend in Education in 2018. In her career years, she has earned recognition by her peers as a top medical and wellness professional. She is an Amazon Best Selling author and wrote a children’s book about entrepreneurship for financial literacy.

Lj is a gifted and enthusiastic educator who offers professional development and training to educators worldwide, making a tremendous, positive impact in her community. She believes in enhancing the quality of early childhood education in her community and is set to leave a lifetime impression. When she’s not working in the early childhood centers, LJ spends her time speaking and working with non-profit organizations, event planning, and mentoring.
